Towing

I've got a 750kg caravan. D'you reckon my NA Auto will tow it OK?

    lol how long is a piece of string

    if you havnt got the bigger oil cooler on your box then id say don't

    even with it the box will get hot, how far are you going/motorway/minor roads/lots of up hill/changing gears

    all ifs and buts m8, but if you've got an alternative i'd say don't;)

    Its not the power thats the issue, its the brakes and the ratio of the weights of the tower/caravan. Ring a caravan place and they'll tell you what the minimum weight you'll need to pull it.

     

    I'd imagine it would be ok but best check.

    Normal cars like Mondeo and Vectra 1.8s can tow caravans FFS!! ;)

     

    Seriously, though, follow advice about gearbox oil cooler or it could cost you loads.

     

    Personally I would not use my ZX to tow anything, I just use it as Mr Nissan intended..... :D
