Just posting up as I had a play with one of your lot earlier this evening and the guy (who beat me soundly) seemed pretty sound. It was on the John Reid road and A194(M) at around 19:30 tonight.

 

Hello if you are on here! (I was in the S2000).

 

I knew I had no chance (in a straight line ;)) but just wanted to see exactly how quick these things were.

Aha, not just normal police, but a detective, no less! ;)

my mate wants a race with my zed, he recons he can beat me in his s2000, its in max this month with a HKS turbo on it, he thinks its putting out 350 bhp?? but he can only run 6psi on the turbo so wots the point?? saying that i wouldnt like to try him on the track but in a straight line i think i would do him quite easily :)

:rofl: :rofl: :rofl: Thats funny ;)........................ I use the 24hr clock at work as well!! He has already stated that he drives an S2000, and was beat by this 300, so the owner would know if he was trying to race him. Also he knows the reg letter of the Zed, and IF was a copper, would already have the full reg................................. So what would be the point in coming on here to ask?

And if he was a copper, what would be gained in asking anything on this forum? As nothing could be done about it............ No real names, no addresses, NO PROOF!! :D

 

 

Anyway, WRumbled, welcome to the club.

 

The official figures are.............. 280bhp (jap spec)(although some would say 300bhp), 155 mph, 0-60 5.4 (3Ltr, 24v, Twin Turbo)..... But like any other car, depends on the condition and mod level of the individual car, as I'm sure you're aware. But then I wouldn't know any of that, as I only drive upto 70 mph, where applicable. :tongue:

He's put a turbo on an S2000?! That's a real shame, goes against the whole nature of the car. But if he really is putting out 350 bhp (240bhp std.) then he may well take you out, depending on what you have done to your car obviously.

 

He's ruined the car though, should have been left as god intended (N/A).

I think "trying to race him" is a bit generous; I was just trying to see how fast it was, if I'd stood a chance then maybe it could have been called a race. ;)

Definitely not yours - didn't have the huge spoiler on the back and looked like it was running standard wheels -they looked a bit like Azev As' - I'm sure they are the standard ones'?

 

Here is a pic of my motor just in case you see me running about, last three letters of plate are 'RUM', top will be down if it's dry (unless it's winter, then the proper roof will be going on):
