Recently, holes have popped up on both my exhausts so its finally time for the full stainless. I know what style i want and i know where im going to get it but just needed to know one thing.

Should i lose the middle boxes? Will it be too loud with them removed?

I want it louder but not stupid loud. Want to emphasise the V6 sound.

Cheers

Scott

Where in the Kingdom are you? Mine is 3.5" cat back to Apexi cans with 5" ends. I wish I could turn the noise down a bit sometimes but other times its pretty OK.

Lovely Kirkcaldy :)

Good good. It will be getting de-catted soon as well. Will that make much difference?

Iv got the mongoose system, which has no centre boxes & its not much louder than stock, just has a nicer tone to it :)

Cheers Paul. Looks like i'll go with no centre boxes. Just hope its not too loud when the cats are removed.

You get used to the new sound :D. I wanted my cats back on until I got used to it, now it's just lovely. Wouldn't want it stock again.

Do you have centre boxes Rich?

My LWB is de-catted, and has no centre box's. Loud, but sounds gorgeous. The SWB is also de-catted but has silencer's in the de-cat pipes and huge middle boxes - sounds discreet, but you loose the v6 snarl.

Will be swapping the centre section over soon ;)

I've got the pipes going into a centre box, but it's quite compact, then out to boxes at either side. Sounds quite loud (to me!) so I think maybe it needed something there just to keep it under control, but I'd like to hear what an NA with straight through pipes sounded like. I was told the decatting would make about 60% of the sound/ Is that true?
