try as i might i cant feed the hose through where the bonnet release cable hole is.used a knitting needle to pass through but cant locate where the hose would be coming out to any help,does it come out below the master brake cylinder or lower :rolleyes:

 

secondly do i use the plastic nylon hose or should i use some after market silicone cheers for any advice :) greg

 

has anyone fitted the gauges from the group buy of chris ie..water temp

Drilled a hole in the bulk head on mine, stuffed a grommet in, job done

 

Same here,no hassle finding the other end!-and yes i used the plastic pipe that came with the guage,like wrestling an anaconda though :rolleyes:

cheers for that will drill a hole through bulk head any paticular place thats best to drill as i dont want to hit a pipe :eek:i take its best to drill from engine side into cabin :bow:

Yep,go from engine bay-yours auto or mawell? as i went trough what looks like a blanking plate for clutch m/cylinder as mines an auto.If u got a manwell

just check interior before making any holes!! :rolleyes:

Open you bonnet and you see where the master cylinder is?

 

Well it's just below that Greg,you can then reach down and pull the curtain wire up through the engine bay and connect to your vac line off the balance bar;)

I used a wire coat hanger...obviously unravelled so it was straight!

Simply tape the pipe to the hanger & thread it through, sounds

easy...but it ain't! :mad:

i no i tried passing the pipe through tight fit virgin bonnet cable hole il break it in tommorow LOL :) THANKS

Easiest way to get anything through is go past the battery into the wheel arch, then remove the shroud, slit the rubber boot on the main loom and feed it through there, comes out in the passengers footwell by the ECU.

help dont want to have to extend all the wireing they should make the wires 6ft long :( greg

put mine straight into light switch assy,no probs.

I wired into the headlight pod. I'll have a look and see if I can find out the colours of the wires you need to splice into.

 

EDIT Both connectors you need to connect to are in the middle plug. The positive is the red wire with a yellow stripe and silver hash. The ground is the green wire with a red stripe and no hash.

the backlit is black so needs a constant live of a daytime otherwise i wont see any readings :( i know what your saying though,wish i had white background gauges .....there from the group buy with chris@getgreedy

Seriously though :slap: -there is prob an ignition feed in there for cruise etc,

could be wrong,but easy enough to find with a test light ;)
