Radiator Cap Part No?

Just got a replacement radiator cap as my Z is overheating again intermitantly and the one i've been given says 1.2 on it as against 0.9 on my old one.

Had a quick read of the service manual CD and there's a section on testing the cap and to make sure it opens at 0.9 bar - It says radiator damage may result if too high a release pressure!

Has my "trusty" Nissanmaindealer given me the wrong part to earn some more cash?!

Part I was given is 21430-54P00 but I can't see the part number in the service manual.

Any ideas?

Just checked mine (kosher Nissan part on an import) and it also says 1.2 - so maybe you had the wrong one before which was causing problems. 0.9 would expect it to run at a lower temp before releasing the pressure.

Oddly, my import part is labelled in English, French and Japanese - in that order !

both the 21430-30P00 and the 21430-54P00 should be the correct ones for models from '90 up to '94 (According to the parts-manual)

For the '94 it's the 21430-74N01 and for the '95+ it's the 21430-74N02
