"This was hooligan driving. The car is a lethal weapon and that message must get through to other road users. The speed was extraordinary

 I like it

Good lord, I cant believe they got locked up!!! Whilst muggers and burglars get community service!! Sure they could have killed somebody but they didnt... jeez.... They talk of making an example but who the fook gives a rats about a case like this probably hardly made the local rag (and a little bit on the BBC news website)

rant over....

pfffft 130mph odd... 60 days inside & loses his job... well harsh imo... fookin buglars get less

speed doesn't kill. Crap driving & drink driving kills. that is the message we should get through to other road users!

fookin Lord blah blah blah in Scotland cant remember his name, but he's been done 4x for drink driving, once whilst he was already banned for drink driving! & he gets a smack on the wrist. Community service & couple of hundred quid fine. (driving bans were like 3 month etc..)

A ban should have been sufficient.

I know people who break the limits expect trouble if caught, but like you said to go to prison ffs!!!

Reminds me of matty off the 200 board who got stabbed in the chest by some jealous twat with a 6" stake knife and he got, erm nothing

I know someone who had his ****ing face mashed in, in town a few years back. Its now a bit of a mess, and hes a bit ****ed up because of it, guess what the little twat got for doing it? a slap on the wrist and 200 hours gardening at the ****ing weekend in the sun!!!!!!!!!

The law is ****ing shit, yes they could have killed someone, but they didnt. So they must still be punished for breaking the law, but seeing as they obviously enjoyed driving and riding etc a few month ban would have been a punishment anyways.

OK

You all listed points why the law is screwed up. but here is one for you.

7 year old killed, Jane, Nice girl, smart, played tennis and gymnastics, nickname was freckle, when a c**t that was racing and undertaking hit her fathers car and killed her when it lost controle and plowed into their car killing her and her mother, Anette and putting my cousin in the wheelchair.

You dont fooking speed when other people are about because it dont matter if you smash ya face in. but it does matter when some other poor sod pays the price with their life.

140 on a busy road, in-fooking-sane

If it's not insane to do 155 on a German autobahn why is it insane to do 140 on a UK road?

Funny to see that again, I knew that bloke, was his 300 that first made me think about getting one.

OK

POint taken, I guess it depends on how busy the road is (or was in that case) Driving back up the m3 the other weekend very busy after the weekend rush to the beach, traffic flowing at 60-70 some fella in a big fat audi (a8?) sees fit to do about 110 weaving in and out of the traffic! :nono: insane...

Yer totally agree with that Deve8, but that was part of my point - crap driving & that is crap driving at it's worst. racing in traffic is sheer stupidity :nono:

On that point as well there should never be a need to undertake. First rule of the road - keep left. thats what my instructor always said. A lot of people in this country would do well to take heed of that.

Very very rarely do I ever undertake, I usually wait for el muggins in front to realise that someone is behind him and theres 3 other lanes he might want to try, when I do it's usually when theres some spod doing 70 on the outside lane on a three lane motorway and both inside lanes clear for 3 miles etc and even then i'll wait until I can properly judge the intentions of the clown hogging the outside lane...

Sorry to hear about what happened :(

Have to agree, doing 140mph when there's other people on the road is fooked up!

Why is it though that people who commit violent crimes get away with a slap on the wrist more often than not? The so called judicial system in this country makes me sick!

Yep, 140 on roads with anyone on IS insane and irresponsible. So how the **** did the coppers catch them? By doing 160 on a crowded road? Prolly

....because to those fookers any punishment they get means NOTHING to them, if they even bother to show up for it. Then the CPS/Police have to spend loads trying to track them down to re-arrest them and start all over again. With the likes of us, the punishment is 'the end of the world', we pay up and suffer the consequenses.

What a fooked up unfair society we live in eh, makes you wanna  either that or :mac1:

I had some basket case & his mate kick the cr@p out of me 4 yrs ago cos he thought I was shaggin his missus (which I hadn't I might add, but I think she was winding him up!), I took them to court & they got off with it because they said there wasn't enough evidence. They did however still get comunity service of 300hrs cos they wrecked my mates house. I mean, wtf!

I saw the d!ck a month back & he almost knocked me off my feet by shouder barging me, didn't even see him (bearing in mind it's 4 yrs since I've seen him). Anyway, I said to him 'just let it go mate, it's not worth it', to which he head butted me, to which I punched him in the face & he went down!

I must say, it felt quite good but the thing is, this nutter won't be happy till he's had his revenge :nono:

what a prick - couldn't he have beat you up on his own - the coward - cool that you decked him.

As he's already beaten you up for it, you might as well do it, I suppose. I recommend that you shag his missus. ;)

That's how these b@stards work though, they go around in groups bullying people. They're the worst type cos they're cowards really but like to try & make themselves look hard by out numbering others or picking on people they see as weak. B@stards, they should bring back hanging! Lol.

This guy is actually quite big tbh, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared after I'd decked him, lol.

He did get up again & started threatening me but didn't actually hit me, think he was trying to get a sly punch in but I was ready for it.

If he was really hard, he'd have just gone straight at me without fear of getting hurt but he didn't!

PS. I had sh@gged his girlfriend but about 9mths before he went out with her but obviously he was jealous.

Quote from news story: She said: "Both vehicles were hurtling along in the fast lane and both were travelling at identical speeds which averaged 137.6mph and were overtaking slower moving cars. Police described the speed as outrageous."

Err, you can't overtake faster moving cars can you ??

Didn't see anything about the road being crowded - ie there could have been just a couple of cars around which the guys would obviously have passed.

I agree that 140 on a crowded road is dangerous and racing on a public road cannot be condoned but without all the facts, I think a jail term seems harsh.

Story doesn't mention weather conditions light levels etc either.

Thing is in today's PC anti-car tree hugging b@stard society any one of us (surely not ;) ) could face the same sentence for doing 140+ on a dry empty motorway in good daylight. Just because people now have this "speed kills" mentality. I agree that inappropriate speed is dangerous and always keep to 30,40,50mph etc limits and the only time I exceed the limit is on national speed limit roads in dry clear and quiet conditions. But the majority of @ssholes in this country think I should be hung for doing 100+ on an empty m-way, yet they happily speed past schools at 45.... :nono:

Rant over :x:

Richard :smw:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I know why it only managed 137.6mph.........

.......cos its Black!!!

Lucky for him he didnt have a red one, as he'd still be in jail now!!!!
