 HELP! - My Zed's running a very max boost pressure of 6.4 psi with stock setup. Checked for leaks - none found. Changed a bent wastegate diapragm housing which I knocked when fitting the engine but this made virtually no difference to the max boost. Reset ECU but still same. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Thanks Paul- didn't know saftey boost was ~7psi, thought it was ~5 - will check it tonight.

Cheers

Hi Paul - Yes - did get code 34. Weird thing is that if I disconnect the safety boost solenoid valve connectors, the Max boost is still the same?? I'm sure the boost has always been a little on the low side since I bought it but have only recently checked it properly.

Thanks

Dave

you need the solenoids connected to get the higher 9.5 psi boost level. the solenoids need to be powered up to raise the level.

you could try the good old resistor trick to confirm, but it sounds like your gonna need a new det sensor/harness :(

Ahh - now it makes sense. Didn't realise they worked like that! I've got a spare det sensor - if that doesn't work I will try the resistor as you suggest. Not sure if it's worth a mention here but the ECU is fitted with a JWT chip.

Thanks for the advice - it's much appreciated.

Dave.
