No, you'll be OK...

..as I said on another thread, now that the fat kunt Prescott is there, they can deploy him as a flood barrier

Have a good holiday ;)

Richard :smw:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Hi everyone - I managed to swim back ok! :D

Luckily I missed the terrible flood in Boscastle as we were on the way down when it happened.

We stayed two nights in Newquay, looking around the beach and town there and generally just chilling out after a 5 hour drive (took me almost an hour to get from Oadby to Fosse Park cos of roadworks - normally a 15 min drive for non-Leicester guys).

Then drove to St. Ives on Weds, booked into a castle (!) for the night, looked around Land's End and swam in Sennen Cove (weather absolutely gorgeous!)

Then drove to Mevagissey on the south/west coast and looked around Truro, then shopped in St. Austell on fri morning before driving back (only a 7 hour journey back cos of rain/traffic!)

Rain was so bad on the way back some poor guy in a land rover had to drive into the central reserv. to avoid rearing someone in front of him!!

So all in all a great holiday and would recommend cornwall to anyone (plus had a bit of fun in the hired almera - havent driven a manual for over a year!)

Will post a couple of piccies up in a sec.

Mevagissey is a corking place. Did you have some of the St Austell brewerys beer!!! Fookin gorgeous!

No mate I was a wimp and stuck to me Fosters! Really should have checked out some of the local ale tho :(

Actually TBH we got a bit stuck in Mevagissey with the one-way bit in the centre and the 7-foot-wide roads with hundreds of people walking across it. So much so that to find our hotel again we had to just drive out again half way back to Tregoney, then rally it through some country roads (how much fun!!!) and follow the roads back to Mev again. Thats what Cornwall's all about!!! :) :)

Lands end is cool apart from the cheesy show (everlasting lightbulbs and the whole boat/getting wet show)

ITs cool down that way, I always find its really chilled as I've got a lot of relatives in that area!

Hope you had a top time mate!!!!!

Steve

 nearly, it was a meet for the local fishing boat lads. They mod their bodykits with things like "UI 4078" and add chrome bells, extra large fishing nets, Z Centre "Shark" front bumper.... and so on...

damn right - mevagissey is even worse. i honestly dont think a z would fit cos the roads are so narrow, let alone the steep hills!
