TIP: GET SOMEONE TO DO IT FOR YOU!!!

Importing a Z all by your self can be really had work and a real pain in the ass, unless your going to go to japan your self and look at the car i would recomend that you get a company to do it for you!

How much are you looking at paying?

Think their is a fresh imported Z on E bay for about £8000. not even registred yey, this might be your best option.

Neil.

Hi Sypheous,

I cant afford any where near £8000 :( only want to spend a few grand, not interested in a TT, NA would be fine....

I've been pointed in the direction of a couple of 'agents' , but I was wandering about the hassle involved.

Import agents are you best bet, if you have never imported a car before it's not something i would recomend, But first look on all the web sites you can before going buying the car.

Oh and TT is the best :D :D

just thought i'd mention it.

..Cheers mate, do you know of any good sites?

newera ;)

yep thats a good one or you have http://www.rexis-cars.co.uk dont know how good these are but they import all jap cars so....cant hurt to give them a try.

not interested in a TT, NA would be fine....

Hi Ya

He He, the ammount of times I have heard that ;)

Then a few months later you want more power :D

Good luck in your search for a Zed :)

Dont totaly rule out doing it yourself. Look into it very well and you may find its not that hard to do or too much hassel.

All depends on your budget realy, and their are a lot of zeds worth looking at in our cars for sale section already here and waiting to have a new home.

B+++locks about the TT. If you want a day to dayer then get a NA. The TT are better cars if you have another daily driver. Also look in Autotrader. There are plenty of newly registered 300zx's that someone else has had the trouble to import. I got a 91 J spec for £3K that has NO rust, works well and has only a few small problems. ie cam belt needs changing. I got spares from the local motor factors and, as long as you stay standard, there is no reason to think that they cost any more than any big engined car to keep on the road.

But Syphillis is right. Black is by far the fastest!!!!!

newera?....wots the rest?

if I get a black one may I join the DARKSIDE? ;)

'Ello, I'm getting to old for the speed factor nowadays, just want the stunning looks, TBH I had a blast in an NA and I was well impressed, seemed to be much quicker then me supra turbo I just sold to save for one of these babys!

;)

I'm seeing alot of cheap N/A's on ATrader...it will be a day to day mowta and the other turbie cars I've had seem more trouble than enjoyment. Maybe I'm just unlucky! :(

I used http://www.qualityimports.biz It took a while but Ive no complaints at all. David Gill was very patient and very easy to deal with

Cheers Petey!.....I'll take a look.....was it as expensive as you thought?

I imported mine, very easy and very pleased with it. IMHO newera are way too expensive, having said that, Japan is a long way off if you get caught. SVA etc is easy too. If you fancy doing it, do it. Watch the prices, you need an FOB price, some charge extra for FOB. And I got the exporter to sort the shipping.

Hi mate, you recommend it then?.....sorry to be a dumbass, wots FOB?

FOB = Free On Board, (I think) but it basically ,means its on the boat their end all paid for, except shipping.

My Z is 1 Series 2, it is like new underneath, and very good on top too, had it 2 years +, came with 17' split rims, lowered. I would def do it again, BUT, maybe I was lucky?

I gave him the price that I wanted to bid up to-with a little leaway- and the age and spec that I wanted and his man in Japan then went and sourced the car. He emailed me his findings each week until I saw something I liked. Then his man did the bidding at the auction. If I remember right the price I gave him was an all inclusive price-including his fee- so you can basically decide what you want to spend. I don`t know if I`ve just been very lucky but I was delighted with what he found for me.

You`ve nothing to lose by giving him a call to see how he operates.

Good luck

Pete
