30bhp from liquid?

No ta!

Matty.

Go buy AvGas. 110 octane, will give just as much performance (and do just as much damage!)

please explain why 110 octane will damage engine

It's gonna run hotter etc. You may need cooler plugs to avoid hotspots. Obviously it wont damage an engine that's been setup correctly to run on it.

Having visited the place today the guy there explained that this is more than octane booster, apparently to use it you need to tune the car to run on it then keep running on it, more for pro track work. The guy there said the octane booster they do is £18 will treat 30 gallons and he reckons he uses cheap supermarket petrol + additive cheaper than super unleaded erm,erm not sure about that one, saying that he was running a 2.8 Sierra 4x4 not exactly a rocket machine (have driven one ) Jeff TT

Hhhhmmm, looking at the above in two minds,

As im pretty sure im the only one here running the 'ram air' induction system !

That uses octane wax on the filter, that has to be replaced every 2000 miles! Any bad experiences in the past from anyone.

I inherited it with the car, & its only a w/end toy, so do min miles.

But no knocks or missfires etc, and runs very well, lumps done 28k.

Is the nitro liquid the same sort of thing ?

Even if in the tank.

harve.

Please!...The things you Guys will consider, in order to attempt to keep up with the mighty 944!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I think this is a product called nitromethane, used to fly model aircrafts, it is a liquid but is oxygen bearing. It can be bought at most model shops.

However it doen not mix directly with fuel, needs a type of accetone and something else, closely gaurded secret by the people who know.
