I dont think my auto box oil pan has a plug to undo to drain the fluid, short of undoing about 18 bolts I was thinking of flushing it by using the pipes that feed the oil cooler and fitting a tap to let me run the engine and flush new into it while letting the old drain out.....Does it sound feasible or is it likely to be to difficult to juggle the new oil into the system before it all drain out!

Any comments appreciated.

I am getting mine flushed at an auto specialist under line pressure, making sure to get out all the old oil from the torque converter. Think its about £100 IIRC.

Pretty sure you will have a drain plug though.

Its a TT but I'm buggered if I can see one!!! Much rather leave it to a garage to do!

not all tts have drain plugs

especially imports, (you have to drop the pan) as for having fluid draining out while running

i would say bad idea, only way is to flush under pressure, or drop pan, drain, put all back together, run then repeat, and maybe repeat again, so £100

to have it done under pressure once is probably cheap

Should give the filter strainer a clean while the sump is off - they often choke with debris
