take the old one off and drill a 1mm hole in the opening , be careful not to go to far as you will puncture the diaphragm after that soak it in paraffin etc for a little while then just put it back on , mine stopped working as do many peoples and this seems to fix them also means that the sender will work much quicker etc

Nice one Gio, thanks for that.

Ryan, is it obvious how "too far" will be when drilling?

no mate its not 3-4 mil is about ideal (no further) you only want to make the hole bigger so no need to go in anymore , if you have a gentle hand you can put a safety clip or back end of a needle to feel the diaphragm in order to mark up the drill bit

also just remembered I sent my old one to AndyP as he wanted to disassemble to see what made it tick. He did tell me at Billing that there didn't appear to be anything serviceable inside but the rest of his technical explanation went whoooooosh (as I don't speak tech!). Maybe he could measure the bits if he's still got 'em?

Im presuming when you unbolt the oil pressure sender your gonna have oil piss out everywhere? or is it above sump level? in fact - where is the bloody sender? :)
