In the last couple of days I've lost most of my brake fluid.

After fitting the R34 calipers and braided brake hoses I seem to be getting a bit of fluid leaking from a couple of the hose joints under pressure.

Only seems like the odd drip but it must have got worse over the weekend because on saturday night I got in the car and there was no pedal at all!

Never made it to Ten Of The Best :(

I've tightened the brake hoses a few times now and it still seems to be happening.

Is this common and is there something I should be using to seal the joins?

Shouldnt there be a thin paper type gasket at the join?

There are normally copper washers (that should not be re-used) on the banjo type joints.

Don't think they are banjo joins, just the normal brake pipe threaded connectors?

Can you see where its leaking from Chris? If its the front hard pipes that bolt to the calipers then IMO they should be renewed when they've been removed. Either take them to a back street garage who can make you some new ones up or order the nissan parts. The nice feature of the nissan part is the sleeving to prevent against stones piercing the lines...

One is leaking at the front where the braided hose meets the hard pipe to the caliper but they were all renewed.

The other is at the rear where the braided pipe joins to the car.

They are both leaking from the thread by the look of things.

This is what I previously tightened twice anyway, I haven't had a look since all the fluid has gone so it could be something worse I suppose
