My avcr display gets very hot. After a couple of hours it is almost too hot to handle.

Does anyone else's have this problem, or is there something wrong with mine ?

My Techtom gets quite warm too.

How much current does (should) the Apexi draw ? If it's loads then you can assume it will get warm/hot. If it's supposed to be naff all then it shouldn't. As a guideline the Techtom should use 500mA.

mind you my turbo timer gets very very hot aswell craig, although my id metres never go up in temperature

Craig,

my AVC-R gets warm, but I wouldn't say it was too hot to handle (even with my low pain threshold!)

Craig,

My avc-r get really hot too, I noticed that when I first got it. I presumed it was cos of the vacuum display??????? but what do I know!

You're boosting too much and overworking the controller.

I don't own one of these but the temp differences could be caused by different mounting locations... wink.gif Just my thoughts...

Also the id doesn't get hot because it is LCD opposed to vacuum display as vijay says.

Andy
