Yellow cars are quite rare.

Non turbos are quite rare.

Manuals are quite rare.

Sorry ! But best of luck as well. As you're very specific about what you want, you might want to try contacting an importer to see if they can source the car in Japan. Try Banzai or Japanese Performance magazines for loads of importers.

Paul Bailey has a bright yellow manual NA with his full body kit. Wouldn't of thought it would be cheap even if he was selling it.

You might be better off purchasing an imported manual NA with light body damage and having it repaired with a full respray.

Hi,

Try....www.veilside.co.uk/..they have one advertised on their site, also look on the Autotrader site at: www.Autotrader.co.uk.Go to used car search and type in 'Nissan' and '300'(not 300ZX)and specify the distance and postcode etc. This will give you lots of cars for sale.

Hi

i went to leeds to test drive the yellow zx at veilside.co.uk nice car but has a vibration at certain revs which i felt maybe prop related, veilside claimed it was due to snow tyres on the rear.

but as i was looking for a TT (and forgot to

ask before i turned up doh)i gave it a miss.

there is one yellow one in Harpenden(SEE AUTO TRADER)

2 months i've been looking now and not much joy.

happy hunting ;-)

Thanks for your help everyone. I'll check-out the one at Veilside. I'll post again when I've found the car I'm after - all opinions on my intended modifications will be greafully recieved!

Hoolio,

Is there a particular reason why you're going for the non turbo ? Insurance ? I did consider a non turbo but I'd have kicked myself if I had done and then later driven a turbo.

Don't for a second wish to attempt to change your mind but if you haven't tried a turbo, I suggest you do and you might find you want to dig that bit deeper (or perhaps go for a slightly older car to get the price down ?).

Dave

Hairsy,

Yes, I have considered a turbo - I don't mind too much about the initial cost (within reason!) but I've just heard things can get a little 'out of hand' with regard to running costs - Although having said that I currently drive a 200SX and have found shopping around for the 'right' parts and servicing has saved me £££'s in the past.

I've also been told the stock non-turbo 300 has about the same performance as a 200sx - is this true? - as if it is, I figure if I get a decent exhaust, filter and chip for the 300 I should get a decent performance gain anyway combined with perhaps greater reliabilty than the turbo?

However, I followed a turbo Z near Reading the other day in my SX and although I was giving it loads I soon became a speck in his rear-view mirror! So to cut a long story short Hairsy "You've got a point"!

The major difference in running costs (or, rather, repair costs) is replacement turbos at 60,000 miles +.

If you're thinking about upgrading, you'll get far more bhp per pound with the turbo. As I said before though, not trying to change your mind !

Dave

Get a turbo if you can, test it from stone cold and check for oil at the exhaust and after a short run.

The turbos life depends on how well they are looked after. Like warm up/cool down time and frequent synthetic oil changes. Like mine running at 1.35bar, LOL, mmm - still - 92000miles and no oil leaks.... yet!

(yes Steve, I turned up the boost, cold night, rain, super unleaded, no detonation, I don't think the stock turbos can physically go any more, but I will find out if they can...)

Jez.

turbo turbo turbo turbo turbo.....

considering thats about the only real major difference between the cars, thats about the only real extra expense you will incur for repair costs, as Hairsy said before.

upgrading the NA to it's max potential wont take very long Hoolio, and it'll still get toasted by most standard turbo ones....

if you are planning on modifying it anyway, why bother starting with the wrong one... :)

you'll only regret it.

Okay, you've convinced me, a turbo it is!!
