Cos, I got knocked off my Bike, and wanted something to give me a BIG thrill and its cheaper than moving to amsterdam, Just :)

 

Plus i've always wanted one since i saw the ad for the Z in the early 90's.

Always liked and owned several s13's for a while, never really thought about getting a Z, thought they were a little over rated until a friend got one and as standard they are not that blistering, but a little persuation with a gentle fetling and they go like stink :D

 

Anyways, when my friend got one I liked it seeing it closer and being in it, its big, has awesome road presence (people in their luxury cars seem scared of it!), loads of extras, the roof comming off was a massive biggie for me, also the fact it looks awesome with a nice set of rims on and lowered :D, I liked the sound, liked the drive and overall just thought that I needed one lol.

Looked brilliant & I always loved them but thought they were maybe a bit wobbly & older, the s14a was newer and therefore probably faster & handled better so I bought one of them instead... :rolleyes:

 

then I saw the top gear 300zx vs 350z and then went straight out & bought one! :rofl: Will be selling my s14a as soon as I sort out the head gasket :D

 

As I'm moving to Swindon, closer to the work so I won't be worrying about petrol too much :dance: so I don't need my s14a

ive had loads of cars

had my first zed sold it

had a few more things including a wrx, v6 alfa

but had to get a zed again

£4£ best car around

When my friend pulled outside my house in his zed my jaw just dropped with awe, I thought it was a Lambo at first. Found out it was a Nissan and I could actually afford to buy one so did!

I couldn't find anything else to replace my old Mk3 Soop....

 

GT/GTO too lardy and slow for mid-range overtaking

Scoob/Evo to ordinary - saloon cars + like @rsoles (everybody's got one :rolleyes: )

Skyline nice but again too ordinary looking, plus R33/34 expensive

Mk4 Soop very nice car but fekking ugly - plus UK cars are difficult to find (and they were still V expensive for what you were getting at the time)

RX7 nice but don't trust rotary power

 

So it had to be the ZX :bow:

 

Plus this forum is better than the others :tongue:

They had a 'brief' feature on old vs new, like old golf vs new golf etc etc, the last contender was 300zx vs 350z and they were both stock and the 300zx beat it.

Kind of still on topic, does anybody know anything about the GT3000/GTO's ? A neighbour has a really nice '96 VR4 (4wd 320BHP, 6speed) which goes like stink. Not my cup of tea but it's still a great car. Any idea how my stock Zed compares? Thats one of the reason I'm planning all my mods, gotta keep up with the jones's !!! :D

''Hands down'' your Z should beat a GTO, but seeing as his is 320bhp it's not standard, still a good race though!

It has a lot of heritage behind it, unlike many

of the other ''supercars'' on the Rd today

It is one of those magical cars that will accelerate

as quick as you can press the loud pedal! ;)

I always wanted one cos they look nice.
