Surely fitting an aftermarket steering wheel cannot balls-up your HICAS?

I fitted a Momo Super-Homo wheel and my HICAS is still ok.

I thought that the HICAS calibrated itself from the spline/rack not the wheel?

I do know one thing, my previous Zed's steering wheel was one spline off center and if you travelled on a motorway for 15 minutes (ie the ECU thinks you are driving in a continual circle due to off center calibration) the HICAS light came on and the HICAS de-activated.

Im confused now.. i suppose that it must calibrate and monitor from the wheel by what i have just said..

Anyone any ideas.

Not that it matters a toss to me, I cant get out of 2nd gear on the Isle of Wight LOL

Its the boss that is the problem!You have to

get a special one that allows the plastic square to sit into the boss.So that you retain your hicas!
