From the Zed centre. How good are they and how easy are they to fit?

It's twice the size of the standard Jap spec one so yeah, I agree, it's a must !

It comes with a custom made adaptor bracket that you bolt onto where the current one sits, then the new one just bolts to that. It comes with all the connectors etc that you need, along with some more connectors to allow you to use the existing oil cooler as a gearbox cooler upgrade.

Fairly simple job.

On the subject.... has anyone tried plumbing up 2x standard Jap oil coolers together... as there are plenty of them flying around really cheaply. Surely that would be just as efficient?

Something like this,

welded together with this stuff?

You'd be better connecting them in 'parallel' instead of 'series' as the pressure drop will double for the setup you've shown.

Also sit them side by side or one on top of the other so the flow of air will be a)greater and b)not heated by the front one before passing through the second one.

If this is for engine oil cooling then pressure drop doesnt matter as the cooler only gets dumped some oil when the pressure relief device is dumping excess oil under pressure. i.e when you are hammering it. It then makes its way back to the sump. When engine oil pressure is low then nothing goes near the cooler anyway. Its the sum total heat loss that counts while on its way thru the cooler so in series would be fine I think.

A Simpsons fan I believe????

Do people thinkn the extra oil cooler is worth fitting on a N/A Jap auto?

Also, how come they're worth fitting at all ... Japan is no cooler than the UK ... in fact it's hotter

FITTED MINE ABOUT A WEEK AGO M8,AS TO HOW GOOD THEY ARE,BETTER ASK THE ENGINE!!-SERIOUSLY THOUGH THEY CAN ONLY HELP NOT HURT ESPECIALLY IF YOUR THINKING OF MODS[uPPING BOOST ETC]

FITTING IS DEAD EASY,ABOUT AN AFTERNOON,MAKE SURE YOU FLUSH OUT THE ORIGINAL COOLER THOUGH,AS THIS WILL BE CARRYING YOUR AUTO FLUID[ASSUMING YOUR FITTING IT TO AN AUTO?]HTH :D
