So after getting back from Billing  this evening me and the girlfriend are talking about cars and the spectrum of owners. We pondered whether or not the partner of a Zed owner appreciates their car as much as the owner.

So...

Does your partner:

a) Love your Zed as much as you do

b) Understand why you love your Zed, but doesn't like it themself.

c) :nono:  Think the thing's a complete waste of time, effort and money (DUMP THEM!!! )

The answer in my case is ''C'', she never has & never will appreciate

the qualities of a Z, or any other car in the same bracket for that matter!

She thinks of it as ''just'' a car, which of course it isn't. It's a way of life.

When i met her i was racing motocross which was my hobby, then i went

self-employed, obviously had to give up racing (broken bones etc...),

then got into mountain bikes (downhill etc, more injuries!), finally found

my salvation in the Z, (no injuries!).

The majority of women don't seem to understand we need a hobby, an

outlet if you like, something to enjoy & be involved in. This is were the Z

comes in, i've only had mine just over a year & i wouldn't/couldn't be

without it, it's just awesome. But as the Mrs says: 'it's too loud & it gives

me a headache!'' Each to their own i suppose! ;)

PS: Billing was awesome, ''how many Z's!''

She 'likes' the color

Just got back from Billing too - she didn't go - B for me...

Woo! Yeah, damn right!

It gives my girlfriend a headache too- she keeps banging her head on the targa geting in and out! Makes her...

Yeah- cool! Pretty jammed by the time I got there; just squeeeeeezed in at the back. Have to get there earlier (by about a day!) next year. :duffer:

Maybe our Mrs's are related...LOL!

Anything that needs more than £6 per week in petrol

is just stupid....if only she knew.........my savings account is

nearly empty, i'd get a :slap:

If we all thought like women we'd all drive 1.0l vauxhall corsa's! :nono:

my missus totally loves my zed, when i said i fancied a 350 she put me off grrrrr,

don't know which she dislikes most, the car or the snakes. she is sure one of them will be the end of me

My missus likes my car and thinks I am sad for spending so much time and effort over it.

Actually I think it's midway between A and B. She does love it, but not quite as much as I do !

I had a count up of Zed's at Billing and at one point we had 48 on the stand during Saturday. Not sure about the overflow because we were full, but there were at least another 10 on other peoples stands, plus people were coming and going from ours, so we definitley had 60+. And this isn't counting the Z-Club as 'us'.

Might have a little poll later to see how many people from here visited the stand over the weekend.

The wife does like the car (after all, she convinced me to buy it in the first place), but doesn't understand the enthusiasm that we all have for the Zed.

Hey, I can't see the appeal of shoes and handbags...

Actually I think it's midway between A and B. She does love it, but not quite as much as I do !

Second that. Wouldn't go as far as saying she loves it, more like admires it, in a silent sort of way.

I voted B but this seems closer to reality ;)

Julia loved my old Mk3 Soop and couldn't understand why I bought the ZX or once I had it, why I love it......

Then last year we took the Zed on its first holiday to the wilds of North Yorkshire. Not only did it look great in the hotel car park (couldn't turn up at a country manor in the Corsa :o ) but when I showed her how it could overtake a caravan, a coach and a Jag in one swift move she was impressed :D

Last month on the way to Cornwall, we were cruising at a steady 100 on an empty M4 and Julia asked just how quickly it would reach 150, if at all......

.....well as it was all quiet I said "Watch this :D "

She now understands why I love it and look after it so much. And I now think she is gradually growing to appreciate it too.... ;)

Richard :hyper:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Mine wants a 350 for her next company car, she loves the z, but 300 abit too big for her to drive

Did you notice that rather large scare down the centre of my head. Well it took them a week to remove the axe which my good lady gave me as a token of her appreciation when I first brought the Z home. :slap:

Mid way between A and B. she likes the car but isn't in love with it quite as much as i am  Can't see why, maybe she is blind :D or maybe it's the wrong colour  and as she is standing here watching me write this :slap: . i can't really complain, she let's me have my fun as long as she gets hers ;) ;)

THE WIFE SAYS IT LOOKS OK :slap: BUT WON'T KNOW IF SHE LIKES IT UNTIL

SHE'S HAD A DRIVE

The missus does love the look of the Z, But as i always seem to scare her when i drive it i have voted B!!! :)

 Mine loves it and wants one for her....that why im looking for a hard top NA......lol :D

My missis bought me the zed so there can be know arguments there. She aint too impressed with the running costs though (I'm in agreement there).

Kids love it, they love their 'egg seats' in the back.

Well my wife usually says one of the following.

If it goes wrong again u got to sell it.

or

whats the points in such a fast car, you cant go fast in this country anyway.

or

you cant make it any faster, you'll end up killing yourself.

so u can guess what she thinks of it.

My other half likes my Zed but is scares her. She thinks I will kill myself in it ;)

She refers to it as my money pit and once said that 'You love that car more than me' ... I just told her not to be silly and went out to give the zed a polish

Why do you think I'm now single then??? Answers on a postcard please... LOL
