Could I put my JWT ECU (UK Manual TT) into my mates UK TT AUTO?

Not sure if he needs a AUTO chip if there is such thing?

Featured Replies

i think you need different chips for manual /auto / uk / jdm. im running a JWT myself and was asked the exact model of Z before i was sent the chip.

No you can't , you can put an auto ECU in a manwell but you can not put a manwell ECU in to an auto

thanks - thats what I thought, just wanted to be sure

prolly mostly to do with the auto ecu asking the engine ecu to retard the ignition timing a tad while it swaps cogs to give a smoother gearchange. The chip intended for the manwell wont need this function.
