DVLA trying to outlaw modded cars

Picked this up off the SXOC site , might be worth taking the time to answer these questions before its too late.

found on GTROC !! DVLA trying to legislate against modding !

The DVLA are putting together a paper to tighten up the SVA test and make it apply to more cars, I.e modded ones, if yu put on a kit, SVA test, if you do an engine swap, SVA test, If you lower it etc... basically modding will become a thng of the past, as will rb25 implants, and all the other cool stuff we get up to.

Please take the time out to fill iin the most longwinded form ever on their site, this is going to the commons soon, so WE need to act now. Apparently the peeps who have actioned for this are the likes of the Christian groups and greenies.

You can make a difference...

:D  Oh yeah, Im a churchgoer and I think freedom of choice is paramount, so I support modding 100% . I have owned a lot of custom motorbikes, choppers , lowriders and sports bikes, along with my fairly modded 200sx, and now my 300. Most properly modded cars / bikes are more cosseted, looked after, cherished and cared about than virtually any car on the road. The amount of money and time that goes into them usually means the owners tend to be fairly responsible. Insurance companies also are starting to agree with this as some are reducing premiums for modded cars. So lets not let these whitehall meddlers destroy another way of life. ;)
