as u may recal from yesterday i had the rac out to fix my no starting z. when looking under the car to see if the wires had come off the starter he said to me. (Spoken in Bristol Accent) "u wanna look at selling this one mate, your chassis legs are rusting, thers not even any paint on them." as u can tell im not happy. is this a common problem? can it be fixed? were they ever painted?

cant advise on the chasis legs mate, but reading your post and to find a supposedly competent proffesional saying "u wanna look at selling this one mate" just worries me. Dont fix it or scrap it, sell it on to some poor muppet who doesnt know any better. FFS.

to be honest its just had an mot, im sure they would have pointed out of there was a problem. had a look myself and they are an orange colour but wouldnt say there were any holes or bubling and they sound fine when u tap them with a hammer.
