whats, if any, is the difference between changing a head gasket that has been wired to changing a standard gasket?

Also any guidance/ clues/ experience of using thicker head gaskets?

Cheers in advance

Hi Jock

I'm using 2mm metal HG and touch wood no probs i know adamr was using a 1.2mm metal HG and i believe one of his sparkplugs broke and damaged his causng it to leak so he went for a copper ringed block.

I bought the HG before everyone told me they dont work but after lots of digging around all i could find out is that as long as its torqued properly and then checked after a certain mileage then they work great and i'm sure they will be able to handle more power than a standard one...just a pain stripping it all down to re-torque it after say 1000 miles but no pain no gain :)
