putting some white dial in tomorrow is there anything I should look out for or any special way to do them

Be real carful when removing the speedo needle, if not the needle shaft will dislodge and the needle will work erratically, one way to check all is ok after changing the dials is to blow against the needle and it should easily move all the way around and back again without any sticking

Tip: get a pair of fine long nose pliers and hold the needle shaft as the needle itself is pulled off, be carful to not loose the relavant position as the calibration will be wrong after.

Yep that's a good tip about blowing the needle. I found that on my dials the needle sometimes gets stuck as it rubs on dial itself.

or dont remove the needle and use a scalpul and slice the dials in pieces from the centre out worked for me ;)

Many thanks for that will be having a go today will let you if it went ok or tits up

be carefull with the black pastic fascia in front of the dials behind the perspex when the dials are out of the pod it is coated with a special paint that will tarnish if touched with the naked skin

( ie podgy fingers when moving it ).....are you are taking the old dials fronts off to fit the new ones or just slipping them over the factory fronts ??

Good tips there! Post a pic up when they're done!

Here are mine to wet your appetite - you know you want the rings too!
