Hi Nick,

Does it not say on the V5 (logbook) "vehicle previously used overseas" or something like that?

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Import thing is a myth - you need to go to an insurer's that understands performance cars....

Try Houghton's for a quote.

Main difference is the position of the indicators, but I can't remember which way round the difference is :slap:

1) Imports will have a "Z" on the badge on the front of the car instead of "Nissan".

2) Imports have clear indicators on the front bumper compared to smoked ones on the UK

3) Imports tend to have cloth interior where as UK's are full leather.

4) Believe Japs have electric folding mirrors, uk's dont.

That about all i can think of at the mo.

Dan

japs have a power button on autos' and japs dont have fog lights in the rear bumper. japs normally have same tyres front and back on std wheels.

also different rads/oil coolers + rear diff cooler

rear lap belts instead of 3 point

front seat belts attach to the doors to allow others to kill you by opening it for you!

Japs aren't rusty

I noticed on mine the other day (uk model) that in the petrol cap it says use 95ron. It may be worth checking that as over in Japan they use 100ron, so that may give an indication

I guess not ...

You have no posts on this thread!

Have you deleted some after a :nelson: moment?

There are some subtle differences that give the game away.

1 I have Jap writing everywhere and nothings in english

2 Rads are smaller on Japs

3 IC's are smaller too

4 It says last used overseas on log book

5 Japs are slightly less powered (boost preasure and IC's I beleive, but dont quote me)

6 NO RUST
