I had more fun in an NA today than I've had in a TT for a while. :hyper:

I took Cerina's car to Halfords today to get some insulation tape- anyway to get to the point.

The roads were wet and I was alone so I thought I'd see how the old girl handles with her racing Diff !.

I gave it some welly in Halfords car park and got her drifting. Wow it feels so much different to my TT it was smooth and so easy to drift, I felt like a pro !!!.

I couldn't help myself on the way back and just had to drift round a few more corners

The only down side of the diff is that you do get a clucking sound from the back when turning at low speed.

Can't wait to get this thing on the track. I'm sure it's been there many times before when it was in Japan.

Must admit, I love mine. Don't think I'd go back to a viscous one, the chatter isn't so bad in an RWD anyway. Only thing is I think the life of the plates is limited, not sure how long they last though. Just gotta be careful to stay committed once you're cornering or it tends to lock a wheel.

Aren't the tyres a bit narrower on the NA than yours too. Why I went back to 255's on the back, much less snatchy than with 275's

Have you got chickens in the boot Stu? :D

I have to say that from the point of everyday driving I preferred the NA, it couldnt match the straightline acceleration obviously, but the poer, I felt, was far more controlable, and excellent for getting the back out :)

Yeah, the tires on the SWB na are 245's x 16 (not stock wheels but the same size).

The TT does tend to snatch back and is more jerky when you loose it.

The NA just seemed to just flow with it if you know what I mean. It wasn't at all scary either.

I haven't tried it in the dry yet as Cerina drives this and is responsible for it's maintainanced so I don't want to trash the F1's on there. (Well I do, but I'm not going to).

The car also has HKS Dampers all the way round which I guess is another reason that it slides so well. I have a feeling that this car was a drifter back in Japan as it had AFC and shift lights on it when we got it.

U wanna try drifing an S13 stu, so so much fun......perfect for the job, sure NISSAN built them just for that!! :D

the S13 does have a nice racy feel to it - raucous and raring to go.

Stu, I am selling mine mate for very little money!!!

Its rough but if yu want a commuter to thrash about in then its ur car!! Very reliable too!!

:D

according to the SXOC drifting forum viscous LSD's are completely useless for drifing, and that clutch LSD's are the only way to go.
