Call me sad but I want one :xxx:

Does anybody know a supplier of kits for twin exhaust cars?

Most I've seen only work with one spark plug and you have to buy two kits.

I'm not after the ridiculous gas type that gives 10 foot flames, just to light up any unburnt fuel.

I know this could turn into a group buy ;)

Just got the email back from that us company

We would be willing to give you a 20% discount on price for 10 kits. $320

+ $50 basic shipping, or if you need them faster let me know and I can get

you a quote on USPS Global Express.

Full instructions and wiring diagram will be included with each kit which

will tell you exactly how to install each kit.

PMSL!!!!!!

There was me thinking it was a mass wind-up. :xxx: :xxx:

Hey, if anyone is interested there's a guy round here selling his Nova :D :D

Why not spend the money on tuning the car - that'll do the trick - and doesn't need any dodgy wiring and oh-so-obvious spark plug.

Do you get furry dice and rear earthing straps with each kit.

I would have thought for a group buy that's the least they could do. :p :p

i like the sound of that fake BOV machine, could stick it under the seat lol

scare the shit out of the misses

Stop taking the piss, this is serious stuff! :D

Both the kit and the wiring by MickeyB will only fire once when you flick the switch!

That's no use at all as the chances of you shifting, timing the press of the switch and getting the right fuel mixture are pretty remote.

You need to be able to switch the system on and have it sparking away for when the gear change happens.

So one of the systems with an oscillator or electric motor and cam is needed.

I'm sure Maplin must do something ready made that would fire the coil.

I don`t think you understand how the coil works. When you flick the switch (closed circuit) the coil produces the required volts at a constant, not just for a short burst. Thus producing a permanant spark. The coil ampheres are quite low, but the volts are high.

cheerz, mickey mouse

would that not burn the plugs out and drain the battery

No due to the low ampheres. When your car is sat idling at 1000rpm(ok fast idle) the spark plug is firing 166 times per min. the heat in the combustion chamber is far greater than that at the end of the exhaust pipe. This does work.

erm, are you sure about that??????

when you give the primary coil circuit 12v, it induces a HT voltage in the secondary windings - the plug wont spark until the primary circuit it opened again. this is how an old fashioned set of contact breakers (points) work.

by closing (supplying primary voltage) & opening ( giving the spark)

a permenant 12v will burn the coil out nicely tho

they sell them at St Albans Cars 01727867747 about £100 each they work great :hyper: :hyper:

ps youre all sad looney's for wanting this anyway!!!

This is going to end in flames.

Bring em to Billing and we can all sit around the camp fires toasting out marshmellows while we wait for the firebrigade to put yet cars out.

PMSL @ this thred, knew it'd be controversial.....love it!! :D

Anyway, I want one, feck what everyone else thinks!!! :D:D

Gonna call these guys this afternoon(St Albans Cars 01727867747), I will let you know what they say....

I'll see if they'll do group buy discount.......

Oh, THEN we can have toasted marshes at billing!!! :D:D:D

hey, just thought - you could use an indicator flasher relay!!!!

or, or - make up a little box with a micro switch in, mount a small 12v motor in it with a cam gear on the end - hey presto, electric contact breakers :D

PMSL @ this.

Why not go the whole hog and get a nitrous kit and mount the injectors before the spark plug in your exhaust. Hey presto, instant 4 foot flames at any time due to the nos kits own fuel supply

Why not replace your exhausts with a tar melting torch and stick a bottle of gas in the boot, guarenteed 4 foot flames that are HOT
