I have never in all my years of driving ever hit anything. in the past 4 weeks I have had 2 foxes and a rabit, all on the sme road.

I wouldnt mind but the little critters are smashing my front bumper to shiit, and as for the underneath of the car, well so far I have found fur and a snout from one of the foxes.

hopefully they didnt suffer to long, unlike my bak ballance.

you raise an interesting point...i've driven over 600,000 miles and only killed one rabbit one bird and 10 million insects...a couple of my friends have slaughtered loads of critters...one guy i knew had a fully grown stag jump over a hedge onto his bonnet...wrote the car off and the stags hoof and bottom part of its leg was left sticking out of the bonnet like some kind of jaguar leaper...:) does anyone have a bad exp with hitting animals?...

LoL I was on the M40 when a Pidgeon flew into the rear quarter window on passenger side, missus was with me and she looked back and saw the pidgeon twitching on the road, she asked me to go back, I was like pffffft no fekn way!

She then started crying    for the poor wee pidgeon 'suffering'

You are lucky only hitting small stuff,ChrisC hit a Deer in his Pug and made a real mess

LOL I once got hit by the remains of a pigeon after it hit the front of a bus travelling at ~60mph. Took me weeks to get rid of all the bone fragments :D

Seriously though, I would run over an animal any day and not give a second thought, I will avoid them & brake gently (which, if you are an alert driver is generally enough) I certainly wouldn't be hard braking and swerving all over the road like some muppets I've seen.

The other week on a dual carriageway a stuuupiiid woman nearly caused a pile up 'cause she hammered on the anchors, skidding across the outside lane to avoid a fookin squirrel!

How many times do read about people splattered across trees because they were swerving to avoid a dog/cat/fox/pheasant - pheasants being particularly stupid!

The other day, driving my Dad's Seat Toledo while my zed was off the road, hit a pidgeon at 90mph, left a fair bit of goo on the windscreen, luckily it didnt smash, but got my old ticker beating a bit! I gave the car back to my Dad complete with the goo. Aint I a kind chap!

You guy's ain't lived till you've caught a pheasant in the face at 80mph on a motorcycle!!! What a fekkin MESS....EEEWWWWWWW!!! Hurts too!

i was in a mates car when he spotted a pheasent in the middle of the road so he lined it up to hit it...and he sure did...unfortunately he had a low front spoiler and at 80mph the birds head smashed a hole right through it...expensive bit of fun that was

Dont think she'll accept gifts from dog abusing straingers!

A couple years back I was running across Hwy 10 in Arizona(USA) late at night and there was a JBHunt tractor trailer running next to me. He hit a skunk, it bounced off him and slimed down the side of my 240sx(S-14). Had the sunroof open, couldn't close it fast enough and had to find a car wash in the middle of the night.

dog abuse. I dont go on Canvey :P

Sory no offence.

lol

I used to coach at junior school over there. Kids are a lot better there than on the mainland. Mind you quite a few seem to be mothers at 15. must be a canvey thing.
