Just come back fron new F1/indiy car movie that makes Fast & Fury look even more stupid than it was.All the hype for Fast& Fury and it was crap,yet Driven has no hype yet one race sene is beter than whole F & F film.The FXs are realy somthing else and all race senes have you on the edge of your seats,especialy the race through the city streets (unbelevebly fantastic).The acidents were amaising and so real,granted the story was only slightly above F&F but this was made up by everything else in yhe film.Strange but when i went to see F&F the cinima was full of disapointed custumers,but DRIVEN had a hand full of happy people,so what went wrong with the promotion i wonder.Great film guys even if you are not into F1 or even Sly Stallone.8 out of 10

It was meant to be about F1 but Mr Eccleston wouldnt allow it. Where did you see it. Its been on US DVD for ages.

It all depends on how you look at movies.

If you want to be intellectually stimulated then fuck Hollywood.

Both Driven and F&F are utter crap and we all know it - but purely as purile eye-candy they are great.

Great petrol head movies like Mad Max and The Blues Brothers kick their asses... I also love The Road Warrior (Max2) and the first Speed film, Duel, Natural Born Killers, Christine, The Car, Knight Rider, Oh shit Im decending into madness here, help me out and Fawlty Towers (the one where he bush whacks his Austin 1100).

But F&F and Driven.

Oh FFS, I haven't actually seen either yet but after seeing Film 2001 this reek with Jonathon Woss I was absoulutely MAD FOR IT!!!

 

Sly is the best, I bought Rambo II the other week on DVD and that is such a cheesy film, but excellent brain candy!

 

Why do all films get so ripped apart nowadays? Get a life geeZers, these films are mainly aimed at the kids and I'll say one thing, if films were around with the FX that they have now when I was a munchkin I'd be well satisfied!

 

Too many Barry "fuckin'" Normans out there in my opinion. Not saying you have to like it but I think that these sorta films are ACE!

movies are meant to entertain, god don't be like those damn critics who bashed Gladiators for historical flaws.

 

They push the limits of fiction and sometimes bend them around to their needs, but hey if they did'nt others will, and they're just out to sell tickets, not to be 100% accurate

You also missed The Lion King. Although it's not available on DVD.

He He yeah movies are for entertainment but why do they get things soooooo very wrong,

i dont know , maby hollywood is a differetn place, but i mean common, Driving at 160mph in tokyos main streets in an opentop car without glasses or soemthing, and they could see fine????? that is just stupid whichever way you look at it,

Any movie based on something that is real should try to resemble reality, or it should have been about religion or something

 

I drove a 50cc moped without glasses and at a whopping 12 mph my eyes were waterign from the wind....

I got Driven on DVD yesterday and watched it last night.

 

Not too bad - Sly gives his usual "2x4" performance.

 

The "Making Of" was an eye-opener though. Most of the 4-wheeled action was CG! Half of the crown scenes were CG too! Tch!

dont forget the film ronin not a car film as such but some of the best car chase action ive ever seen on celluloid apart from my choice moments all of which i receive no loyalties for lol

Yep, I second that Mr. O'Tooley Generale Presidente...Ronin was CLASS! Using Euro. motors aswell...top banana film.
