Craigs post got me thinking, is anyone on here slighty famous or do a job where ordinary people, like me, would have heard of you. Work for a car mag, spot on TV, car featured in a magazine, double platinum album etc etc?

I heckled Lindsey Dawn McKenzie from the audience on Central Weekend Live once.

But I think I mentioned that before on here once.

I nearly ran Grace Jones over in Londom once, she had the cheek to be walking on the pavement! Boy, did I get a dirty look.

I was in the local papers once getting some sponsorship for a charity walk, and the next day got a stalker, or to be more acurate some dodgy post from someone near where i worked, it was nasty.

The sicko suggested that i went round to collect some "special" sponsorship money.

I stopped Karl fogerty getting into the MCN motor bike show at allexandra palace.

Now that was funny.

I've played a snooker match with Dennis Taylor (who?lol)

It was the best of one frame and i let him win.

I was on a program years ago called Scofields Quest, met Philip Scofield, Anthea Turner, Peter Powell, and Dale Winton..........He called me "Darling" :mac1: :slap:

my cousin played for crystal palace and joined arsenal on a loan period would of been more famous if he played full time for the latter :p

I jumped over a 6ft fence carrying a mean looking air rifle (BSA super 10) crossing through Billy Connellys grounds up in Strathdon when he was having a big do, and scared the living bejesus out of Sharon Stone and her 'companion'

Also called 'comedian' Dom Jolly a 'Stupid ****' in Cirencester when he took 10 minutes to manouvre his Range Rover into a parking space the size of a football field.

Delivered a Pizza to Bon Jovi in the Devonshire gardens hotel in Glasgow when I was a student. cheapskate *******s wanted it for free! (I said no f*ckin way) and they paid with cheque & no tip

Judging by all the pathetic "I met.." "I saw.." "I'm in the background..." anecdotes, I'd say that NO, we don't have anyone famous!!   (but we got a lot of wannabes!)

I used to play in a metal band a few years ago and we were quite big in Japan and Brazil. Remained completely obscure in good old Blighty though.

Once did an interview on BBC radio North - thought we were going to talk about our upcoming 1st album, but instead they had a Vicar there who was accusing us of being "Satanists".

The Vicar asked us if we got stopped often by the Police looking the way we did (back then) to which I replied "No, do you stop many young boys dressed like that?"

Needless to say the interview was terminated at that point...

i used to be mistaken for 2 different people....

1. David Seaman....when i had floppy hair

2. Chris Wright...the record/tv company boss..ex owner of football and rugby teams...but this was only because i share the same name and worked in the music bizz...did cause some funny moments when people expected the former to turn up

I've been told I look like James Dreyfus (the camp one out of Gimme Gimme Gimme, The Thin Blue Line and more recently Hell's Kitchen).

I hoped with my greying hair I looked a bit like George Clooney.

My mate Chopper has grey hair too.

I hoped we could be a celebrity-lookalike double act.

I thought we could both wear puffer jackets and be "The Puffer Clooneys"

Apparently opening fetes and stuff can get you £50 for an afternoons work.

But apart from the grey hair, I don't really look like him so that plan needs more thought realy.

  • 2 years later...

I'm not quite famous yet, but I do charge ten quid to sign my artwork, and people actually pay....sometimes, lol.

I met Jimmy Saville once, he said "out the way".... fooker :(

Oh Oh, and I did a custom drawing fro Frank Bruno a few years ago, handed it to him at one of those dodgy private fight night things they have in hotels. Really weird experience, if ya know what I mean ;)
