Hi there, New to this site just got my first Z32 and loving every minuet of it, slight problem thought some toca's keyed my drivers lock :( and now i cant use it, the central locking works from the inside on the drivers side, but it don't work using the key on the passenger's side, any body know why? tried to look for fuses but everything is in japenese so i cant read it!!!

Or can anyone tell me where i can get a repacement lock from, i would prefer the whole set, drivers, passengers door, ignition and boot, but would br greatful for the drivers door.

Many thanks inadvance for all of your help, and look forward to getting to know you all.

th drivers side door dsnt have a driver in it so central locking dsnt work from th passenger side

ud need to get one of them fitted, which thy would do if u put a good alarm in, thy dnt cost too much on thr own i think

so this brings me to the next question, anyone know where i can get a replacement set of locks from??

Either Nissan or ask AndyZ in the traders forum.

Nissan can get a single new lock changed to suit the rest on your car if you ask!

Reg Vardy Nissan in Leeds did it for me when mine got broken into.

sypheous do u have an alarm or immobiliser fitted with remote c/l?

if not id get that done then u can do away with th locks n have the keyholes smoothed over

security was my main priority wen i first got th car

alarm is coming next week, sorted it out yesterday, but will it still work without the drivers door having a solinoid? thinking about just changing the door locks over drivcers to passangers and vis versa

Hi mate, congrats on your choice of car. I had a remote central locking system fitted to mine because both of my locks were broken. This cured it. The locks still do not work, but at least I can get in without climing in through the boot (much to the amusement of certain forum members). There is some advise on how to fix them somewhere on the tech site. I'll have a look.

the passenger side alredy has a driver/motor/woteva thr called, thats y wen you use th key to unlock the drivers door, th passnger door unlocks too. the drivers side dsnt have this so unlocking th passenger door will only unlock th passenger door.

switching th motor round would really only be a temporary measure cos ul have to keep opening th passenger from th inside.

if your having a remote c/l alarm fitted thy will have to put a new motor in th drivers door anyway so tht will sort it.

as long as ur doors lock u can get rid of th connecting rods n barrels in th doors so no more screw driver wielding fookers can get in

have a look at this: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=34519

Thanks for all your input guy's think i'll have to live with it for the mo, until the alarms fitted anyway, then i'll have a go at de locking it. thanks again.
