What Empire

 

They dont want to come out of their country to get a empire, just tell us what rules and laws etc we should be upholding to make their lives better.

 

30 years and they are totaly screwed as a nation, they wont be able to afford to keep their own people let alone wory aboout others.

the yanks need another 4 planets to sustain their lifestyles.........how can that be God given ?! the richest nation refused to get involved in Environmental issues........that's rather worrying don't u think.

Exceptionally patriotic (we could learn something there, but then it would be racist.) You never hear an 'ethnic' American going on about how good the 'old' country is, and how their home values should be respected over the rest of the population. In America it's America above all else. They sing the National Anthem and salute the flag EVERY DAY in their schools, here that would be considered racist if we were to do that with our own anthem and flag.

 

They are people just like everyone else, but happen to be from the most powerful country on the planet. They know it, and that gives them a sense of their own importance. Bit like we were when we still had an Empire...."Let me through, I'm British!!"

 

Yes, they have their faults, but if they were not the most powerful country on earth, WHO WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE??

It's like the French, lovely country, shame about the population. Also it depends upon weather you're talking about the people as individuals or as a collective. Most sceptics i deal with are OK, so are the French I deal with. I still don't like the French (as a whole) and I won't be queueing up in an American airport begging to get in either.

 

I bet our image abroad was better 10 years ago, if I'm not mistaken we were admired by our current 'foes' for our restraint with foreign policy. Not now we behave abroad with all of the tact and diplomicy of a tonne of horse sh1t. Not only our government, we holiday in southern Europe and wreck the place.
