Was gonna put a secondhand martix in my Zed; been warned off that idea (with good reason). Courtesy Nissan in the US say they cant source me a new one.. Any ideas where I can get a new matrix?

I got mine from Mike (MJP), but you can apparently use the US version. The pipes that are connected to the heater matrix are different on the US version (LHD). If the pipes are OK (which I would think) you can get the US matrix and then swap the pipes over from your old (RHD) matrix. They are easy to remove (and if you do not take the dash out you will need to disconnect them (I did the job with the dash in on my -93 manual car).

 

Remember that you have to add shipping, customs duty and VAT to the US price.

They are easy to get!

Lots of us just do not know what is available!

If you look in your Yellow Pages & go to Radiators-Motor you will find a local specialist !

They will need your old one as a template, but it will be correct in, size & threads for screws.

The cost is approx £110.
