i listened to a green activist the other day banging on about big engine cars and the damage they do to the enviroment...the thing is whilst the 300 is big the fact most of us have bought the car 2nd hand and care and look after them means we are amongst the best recyclers on the planet..i'd go as far as to argue insted of Mr & Mrs Joe Public buying a new 1.3 eco friendly putt-putt they should have looked at some of the older cars on sale...logically such a car has already been made and to see it go to scrap would waste all the energy invested in making it all those years ago...why use more energy on new energy efficient cars when running an old one for a few more years would probably work out equally or indeed less harmful
rant over..... :)
