how do I get more power out of my Z without having to sell any of my internal organs to fund it. As far as I am aware it's completly standard, will be looking at the chip sometime, what should I see if it has/hasn't been upgraded ?

Chip, boost jets, induction kit. You should have change from £200 if the induction kit is new. Or wait around and you might get one second hand. Have someone who knows what they are doing fit the chip and jets. These together will give you a big increase in power.

Exhaust and decat are usually one of the first mods, though these are more expensive.

If you have a manual Z, expect the clutch to die within a few months of upping the boost!

It's well worth it but be prepared to budget for that too.

air filter, zorst, chip, boost increase. you'll also need clutch upgrade(fast road rebuild if auto) chuck in a lightwieght flywheel at the same time if your feeling flush! underdrive pulley & off you go :D

LOL But this all depends on how good your engine is at this moment in time.If there are any weak points in an engine that could be 12 years old + then the above list will be sure to find it

could not agree more, gotta say people do not take this in to consideration when upgrading

I think before I would do any upgrades I would check things like compression and have a full Conzult etc just so you know that your starting from a stable base

Yep great advice there - I guess this should always be taken as read when upgrading anything. Eg sort your suspension out when improving brakes etc

Cheers for the advice, I can check the compression myself, if the tester is long enough, is there anyone in the Nottingham aera wtih a conZult ?
