If it the motor thats gone then speak to Mike Feeney on 01277 374201 for a used one.

There is a hold switch by the drivers side window switch. Make sure its not that first!

If it turns out to be your lift motor / lift controller, Chesterfield Motor Spares (01 246 861999) has 3 300's in & I seem to remeber 2 still had good drivers door window lifters, Had to replace seat belts last week as a nylon ratchet cog in the mechanism had exploded on both sides. This is either a strange co-incidence or has something to do with the vibration from new door speakers / amp.

I used to have a similar problem with my

passenger window it would stick shut when you press the button does the engine revs drop slightly if so the motor is functioning just unable to pull the window down. You need to strip the door lining and grease/ reset the window drive if this is the case. Youll need a sunny day and its a bitch of a job because the door column cover unscrews from the outside with the window down (This is tricky when its stuck in the up position). Once greased and adjusted mines been fine ever since.

It does sound like the motor is trying to work. How did you get the panel off with the window up?

Before doing the following try getting someone to thump down on the top of your window whilst pressing the button to lower it, this occasionally worked for me before I took the door apart, depends how well stuck it is. Due to wear mine was effectively coming up too far and over centering the mechanism.

Are you sitting comfortably the I'll begin :)

Basically its a sod on the outside of the door pillar is a large plastic plug the retains the top of the door trim. with the window jammed you cant remove this however if your careful their is enough give in it to bend it out at the bottom (well their was in mine). This will allow access to the top two of the fixing screws for the lower door panel. The door panel removal procedure can be found here under Removing Front Speakers, it has photo's http://www.fiendation.com/300zx/bose.htm

Once remove you will have to fiddle around trying to adjust/lubricate the mechanism.

Have fun

It appears to be the relay, although it's clicking it doesn't make the window work unless I wobble it around, so something is obviously wrong! Any ideas on where to get a relay from other than Nissan?
