hi guys, not meant to be a dig or anything, but why is it that you guys have a superior V6 engine to the RB26-DETT and have trouble/have to spend so much money to get anything close to the Skyline? ;)

I mean FFS there are more 200s with ~500bhp than there are zeds on here and you have 3l as opposed to 1.8l or 2l.

But I don't dispute that ultimately the VG should be easily capable of ~800bhp, just a matter of people biting the bullet and doing it.

 

 

I like the 200 it seems all the big bhp zs are in the states i suppose more tuning enhancements are readily available shame :p maybe we should all move stateside lol again no offence to you bud ;)

I only know of a handful of zeds that are running over 400bhp (real bhp) are there any running over 500 at the moment maybe 1 or 2 we shall see when macca's is done but with his mods i dont want to tempt fate but i would be hoping for 600+ and not far behind that cj's

 

problem is not many decent places to do the work cos there so hard to work with...thats wot i think if they were easier then more tuning houses would have made more tuning parts

At the end of the day, you've paid your hard-earned and brought what YOU want to drive, if you think it's the best, then thats your opinion, and your entitled to it.

 

Personally I know there are better cars out there than the Z32, but I like my car, and untill I can afford the £15K+ for a decent GT-R34, I'll stick with it. If you like a Skyline, a Supra, an MR2, a S13 or a Datsun Sunny 1.1, then (if you can afford it) you buy whatever you want.

I've recently been reading a few other forums in the US and Oz and I'll tell you what, we are miles behind them. Typically British. :D

We have been blinkered by certain tuning co's, SE for you, ND and SE for us.

If you go out do a bit of research to see what's happening elsewhere you'll see that you are being fed a load of old shit by a lot of the UK tuners.

Well Jezz I would really like to think it will,you are right I am trying something different than the usual Nismo 555 and T28 stock manifold SE spec:D;),TD05 18G,Pentroof Manifolds,Border 850cc injectors and a full engine managment system.

 

If it does not do what I am hoping it will at least I gave it a go and if it all goes BOOM the next stage will be..............................

The Z32 is THE best in it class. Its better looking, it's capable of 1000bhp+ it's much cheaper than the competition. Oh, and the tourque, much more that the poxy 4 pot's. All in all it's the best :)

4 pot will always be down on torque but the power can be extracted.

Wen the zed came out it was a supercar, but you can't compare it to the supercars that are currently being produced!

 

A lot of the skyline owners used to have a lot of money and spent it on their skyline!

The resulting factor is that the cars have tremendous amount of performance now, the zed has always been expensive to tune due to the nature of its V6 engine, the sound of which is one of the reasons I love them!

 

Also the zed was designed to sell in the states and had to pass all of its emmission regs, which led to complexity in the engine management, the complexity of which added to it's fragility!

 

The price of skylines is coming down quickly so maybe now they are not the desirable item they used to be!

A super car is a something like a porsche gt2, keonigsegg, ferarri 360/550, mosler, noble. Something designed to do 200mph with handling to match.

 

You might get a Zed to supercar 'performance' but it'll never be a super car.
