NOS - Yes or No - Legal or Not

Has anyone her ever had experience of using NOS on any car let alone a ZX?

Is it legal in the UK to use it?

Is it worth it or is it asking for trouble?

Yes it is legal in the UK.

There was a Z32 at Billing with it fitted. Can't remember who's it was though. A red one I think.

But you have to ask the question is it worth it. Obviously you have been watching The Fast and the Furyious. NOS is the last in a long line of mods. Just sticking NOS on before you get a re-enforced head, pistons, pistion rings, etc will just cause the engine to blow every time you use it.

You may already had these done. I dont know. If you have, I want a go when its done. wink.gif

I have read that it isnt that expencive to install compaired to other mods, but having to keep filling your NOS bottle up costs a significant amount.

Yeah had nos on both my other cars, in south africa and yup managed to destroy both engines , but makes huge difference to performance, personally wouldent put it on zed ,cause thats one expensive engine rebuild.

JWT sell a NOS kit in the states, but it's basically there to aid spool up on large (i.e. TD06's etc) turbos, the NOS is ECU controlled, and comes in until the turbo's hit 10psi and then shuts off...

But I imagine it's really designed to be installed on heavily modified (read 600rwhp etc) motors..

If you need any more help speak to me.

There are many stages you can introduce NOS into your motor. But I would have to agree with what the guys are saying mate.

amusingly they have a kit for a bike, that claims up to an aditional 300bhp. Because a 190 bhp bike is _not_ enough? LOL
