The lovely dealer who sold me my Z back in January has written to me as follows:- Nissan 300 and Mitsubishi GTO both suffer from gearbox overheating as the oil cooler blocks because it is too small. It's a common fault but can be rectified with a modified cooler for £120 + VAT.

Is he right?

I got my Z last year and was told the same. "Get a cooler on before doing any thing else",i was told. I thought ok i'll get i done. Anyway 1 spoiler later, split rims and other bit and bobs were fitted then four weeks ago........frazzle :cry: my gear box went on the A1 on the way back from Japfest. Ok, ive fitted another myself(saving many pennies) but get it done. £150 now is better than a new box later. Ive now fitted a cooler and it does work. Theres not as much heat on the transmision tunnel :dance: :dance: :dance:
