My Z has been suffering with high idle probs, anyway i cleaned the throttle bodies and cleaned the connections. When i checked the TPS voltage it was reading 2.25V, it says to turn the TPS CW until you get the right voltage 0.4V - 0.5V, but the voltage does not change.

 

Am i doing something wrong, any help much appriciated.

Find the lead that comes out of the TPS body, follow it to the grey connector, and measure the middle wire :)

Thats what i did.

Check the earth of that lead for continuity ;)

Try measuring the voltage as you open and close the throttle. Between middle and the right wire the volts rises between middle and the wrong one it starts high and falls. Try the other wire. The meter should show a nice smooth voltage rise from the 0.4 ish volts level.

or find someone with a conzult!!! :D

dumb question but has any one got a pic of where the TPS is please i got high idle it sits at 2000rpm until fully warmed up thens sits at 1000rpm constantly does this sound a possible TPS prob thanks greg :duffer:
