Poor bloke, What can you say that already hasn't been said.

RIP Eric

Rich :(

one reason I wud never ride a motorbike.

Tales like that seriously make you think of giving up biking. The price can be just so high for that quick buzz. :(

Paul

maddening

One of the major reasons why I never took to bikes. Everyone I know that does, has been in some sort of accident, and has been 'lucky' :( & 3 of my dads mates died on bikes (on seperate occassions) when I was young. Probably a major influencing factor.

One even felt 'lucky' to have his tibia removed and placed where his femur used to be, just so that he could walk again.

poor guy.

Thats a bad thing. You can sense the pain in that guys words. The final comment came as no surprise to me. Hope he is happy now, wherever he is. RIP

Very upseting,i have lost three mates to bikes, brought it all back, and a notorious road from Daventry to Banbury has claimed 12 in 3 years!

What can anyone say to the thread Big Roy put up,words just dont cover it,

 :(

One of the saddest posts I have ever read.

I feel for his family and friends.

And to everyone out there, bikers, car drivers take it easy and be safe.

Poor guy.

Now I know why I prefer 4 wheels.

Thankfully myself and my mates dont ride, apart from one, and so far hes been ok, lost a few pegs but thats all. My older friends have nearly all lost mates due to bikes, a good friend of mine lost a mate while tagging with him through some bends at 120mph. I think everyone that rides has a tale about a close call, and those that havnt I think are tempting fate. That said, I'm still looking to get a 600 next year :S makes me feel stupid reading threads like that :(

Yeah, it's very sad for the blokes family. Sounds like every single one of his injuries would have been nothing like as bad if he had been wearing LEATHERS AND BODY ARMOUR!!!!

It makes me MAD when I see knob-wits riding around in vests/shorts/no gloves! :slap: :slap: :nono:

I used to ride Vespas/Lambrettas on the road, you never think

anything like this will ever happen to you, and thankfully it didn't.

I took up Motocross a few yrs later, people said ''you must be mad,

riding at that speed off the road'', but it's a hell of a lot safer than

riding on the road, everyone's there for the same reason, they all

know how to ride/handle a bike (hopefully!), and were all going in the

same direction. There was always first aid available...immediately.

I'd rather ride off-road than on it, anyday. More fun too!

There are far too many twats with no thought for anyones safety,

including their own, on the road these days.

That post by Big Roy is a stark reminder of the dangers associated

with motorcycling on the road.

I only hope Eric's family & friends are able to overcome this tragedy

and get on with their lives, as best they can.....RIP ERIC.

Yep agree 100%.

extremely sad, upseting & overwhelming......RIP Eric :(

Sad but like already said, you need to be protected on a bike. With amour you can fall off on a bike and slide on the road at 40mph. Do the same with anything less and you will be having skin grafs for the next 3 years if you survive the massive blood loss.

I would like a motorbike but I never will. Not because they are dangerous, but there are too many cars on the road.

That is a terrible story, made me feel sick it's so sad. If only he'd been killed outright  RIP Eric, glad you're at peace.

I heard last Saturday that a lad who lived next door to me who was a friend for a while had hung himself last year. I still can't believe it, he had everything going for him, he was good looking, witty, popular with the ladies, had loads of friends and was a nice bloke too. I can't imagine what drove him to this, poor lad  You always wish that you could have been there & maybe you could have said or done something to make their life better.

Rest In Piece Eric,I wept at you story and can only emagine the Hell you went through. If you've gone to a better place, keep on riding into the sunset like you used to,God Speed..............Vinz

rip eric! i hope your son grows up to now what a brave father he had

Oh jesus. Thats one terrible story, can't say I've ever read something so upsetting.

RIP Eric...........
