Are there any write-ups on plumbing the engine back in?

Got lots of pipes and no car to compare them with.

I've seen a few pics of the bay but they're not much use without being able to trace from end to end.

Chris,

Off balance bar LHS, one 1/4" to carbon cannister.

Plenum LHS, one 3mm, connect to FPR then junk PRVR system next to battery. One 1/4" to LHS recirc via hardpipe.

Bal bar RHS, one 3mm to boost gauge sender+ AIV Solenoid (if not removed). One 3mm to fuel damper. One 1/4" to RHS recirc, one 1/2" to servos.

Two 3mm pipes on RHS of plenum, one to RHS throttle body, one to turbo inlet, these feed EGR solenoid / AIV solenoid, junk and plug if it's removed.

LHS throttle body, one 3mm to carbon cannister, plug if removed.

If you junk the AIV, EGR, PRVR and carbon cannister then you have very few hoses.

AIV's removed but may still have some control stuff left.

Carbon canister removed but not yet sorted pipes.

EGR removed and plugged.

PRVR not yet removed but let me at it!

I think I've done too much all in one go so I can't work out what's what.

Cool, basically that means you can remove the 2 solenoids at the RHS of the engine bay + all piping, and the PRVR solenoid by the battery + surge tank in wing. Should make it all look a bit simpler!

I'm just worried about removing something essential and having to pull it all to bits again to fix it.

What does the PRVR system do?

Do a search, posted on it a while back. It's a fuel pressure bump up for starting / high fuel temp. Certainly not essential though.

I was going on about this last week Chris. From what I have found out, the PRVR is basically there to help the Z start in very cold climates. I've bypassed mine for about 2 months now and have not had any problems. Just need to spend some time to remove the plumbing in the wing.

John, is there anything that can be removed from the drivers side? I'm sure I tube goes across from it!

The line you're thinking of will be the vacuum line to the passenger's side AIV valve I think.

I don't think you can remove anything Cos as you still have your Cats. Therefore you still need your AIV's.

Chris,

Regarding the PRVR, this is the baby you want to remove, plus everything connected to it.

You also need to bypass the vaccum hose by that should be easy to see what you need to do there when you remove it.

Cheers Stu.

However, do you realize you have blue and red sherbert tubes in your arches? :D
