Well well well,dear o dear o dear,what a crock o shite that was,after watching England for the last 38 years(i watched the 66 final on tv as it happend with the whole village it seemd in our living room)i can honestly say i was not fooking suprised at what happend,we were all watching it and the kids were very excited,and Donna who normaly cant give a shit about it all was up for it,but they could not understand why i was not jumping up and down with them when we scored,i just sat there thinking,i will celebrate IF we win the game,i said to my son i have watched too many England games and have felt let down too many times to get excited anymore,lets see what happens,then low and behold we comit fookin suicide AGAIN,it beggars belief, we have not won sod all for oh so long it a scandal,were was the attacking football in the second half,so many back passes,so much sitting back,the French must of been loving it playing most of the time in our half,they never gave up,WE did,they were throwing it at us at it paid off,i hate to admit it but they deserved to win,WE DID NOT,again,let down,my kids were very very upset,2 mins to go and its thrown away,my anger and frustration with the whole fookin England,England,England thing is near the end,if we dont pull our socks up and start playing WORLD class football,run till your lungs burst,start earning ya money,then i for one will fook it out of my head for ever,we are a JOKE,have been for many many years,sick of it.I feel so sorry for the supporters/nation that get wound up and bowled along with the hype ,only to go to work the next day totaly pissed off and ashamed at our performance.Lets see how far we can get in this competition,we aint going to win it,but go down fighting for **** sake,give us something to be proud of,or again its ENGLAND R.I.P :mad: :mad: :mad:

Ashley Cole - Should have cleared before Gerrards backpass :x:, but solid game

We will beat the other 2 but think we will struggle past the 1/4's

I watched the game with two of my mates. One of them was welsh & so obviously supported France :rolleyes: & the other who's half english supported France because his girlfriend is French :xxx: I reminded him that only a few years back he used to be an avid England supporter :xxx:

 

I was well fooked off when France won cos those two :xxx: were cheering :mad: , I felt like giving them a :slap: for being such :xxx:

Haven't felt that p!ssed off for some time :(

At the end of the day it there was a few clear points that changed the game:

 

1: Silvestre should have been sent off. He was last man. If the french had gone a man down the game was over.

2: Beckhams penalty wasn't good enough..

3: Scholes and Rooney shouldn't have been taken off. They were the two who were taking it to the french.

4: James....enough said :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

5: Owen was marked out of the game.

6: The ref was a :xxx:

 

However we showed that we can play quality football against one of the best sides in the world. King was a hero and for 75mins we had them scared. Semi final exit i reckon.

It was a poor penalty by Becks.

Two good shots from Zidane! Who is worldclass.

I think we over rate our footballers time & time again.

I dont think there are any world class players in the English squad!

i dont think bex should be blamed for the loss - even tho Barthez was in mid-air before beckham hit the penalty (why didnt he change direction!!?!?) Rooney would have lamped someone sooner or later and got himself sent off if he hadnt been subbed. Gerrard needs to be strung up by the danglies. And big forwards like E.H. :nono: should be taught that its ok to kick someone in the tits infront of THEIR goal, but not to do it in front of OUR goal. silly billy.

some people must have watched a different game to me

comments like owen invisible etc, no owen was made invisible by englands style of play, you don't knock high balls to owen and expect him to beat the french, or knock long balls wide and expect him to chase into the corners

 

gerrard made one mistake, but go back and watch the rest of the game, along with rooney and king he was englands best player

 

apart from the poor penalty, beckham was even poorer, his passing was crap

his delivery from dead balls was crap, (one good corner for the goal)

 

scholes distribution and tackling was crap, so thats two of the hubs of the team having poor games, so who was supplying owen??

 

we had no full backs overlapping, 3 HALF chances owen did have were supplied by gerrard twice and the other by rooney

 

lets not forget the french hadn't conceded a goal in 11 games, so we needed

something special to beat them, that something special wasn't going to be

defending for most of the game, how many people on here have said we played to deep, so how do you expect owen to be a threat??

if owen was poor, henry for the french was as bad apart from the penalty he won, so if owen had had one clear chance, fans would not have said a thing

 

as for viera playing gerrard of the park in the cup final, remind me of the score again?? reason being, they played to owens strengths, he had two chances that day and scored twice

 

luckily it's not all over yet, but if they go into the next two games playing the same system forget it, a bit like all of you driving your z's in 2nd gear, and expecting the same results

Beckham did nothing wrong with that penalty. It was just that lucky frog managed to pull off a blinder of a save

 

The "lucky frog" has watched the last couple of seasons' worth of Beckham's penalties on video... apparently he has gone that way for the last 19 penalties. So it wasn't exactly a 50/50 guess for Barthez. Cleverer than you think, these football chaps.

 

Heskey cocked up, no question, he gave away a free kick - which when Zidane is taking may as well be a penalty if closer than 30 yards.
