I have seen a few crossfires and they look crap. According to the reviews I have seen, it drives as bad is it looks.

IIRC Top Gear mag tested the Crossfire/Audi TT 3.2/350Z in the USA a couple of months back and the 350Z trounced them :cool:

Tosh! They don't have much torque, sure, but they have plenty of top and six gears, and they are astoundingly light for a modern car, let alone a modern performance car.

 

The standing quarters I've seen reported are in the 14s which is not exactly far behind a stock Zed, is it?

 

Note also it's set up to run rich and with conservative timing, because Mazda got chicken. ;)

 

Crossfire is worse in every respect than either competing car and it's more expensive... so why would you?

RX8 might be great at the moment but when every tom dick & harry has one they'll become boring & everyone will turn to the 350Z! ;)

rx8 has 250hp which is very good for a non turbo car but the power is not what's impressing a mate has 1 and he gave me a ride the handling and the suspension it's superb

Not in the UK, mate. We get either 228BHP or a lowly 189BHP.....plus only 156lb/ft of torque :p

 

Straight line performance is way down compared to a 350Z (and of course a Z32 ;) ) but the RX8 will stick it to a Z32 in the twisties.

 

I personally don't like the RX8, it is too high (ground to roof) for a sports car, those rear doors are simply fekking awful, front end styling is similar to the Mazda 3 (I think that's what they call it now :confused: ) and performance it's several steps backwards from the RX7. At 1425kg it's not as light as you think either.

 

350Z, despite looking like a cross between an Audi TT and a Porker is a way better car :D

Not mad on the RX8 - looks like a saloon from the rear. 350Z is nice but not as dramatic looking as ZX and the Crossfire that looks brilliant is under-powered.

those rear doors are crap and useless

you cant get out unless the driver gets out first as the seat belts are attached to the rear doors

the front of the RX8 reminds me of the cheekbones of someone I hate at work!!! still a nice car tho.

I hammered an RX-8 on track at Japfest, was my first time on track (which was blatantly obvious everytime I got near to the 3rd chicane LOL)

I know it's not a fair trial but made me feel good, so did the GTS-t R33 Skyline. :D

I owned a Mazda RX7 for about five years,great car.Fastest thing between two petrol stations.Smooth as silk the rotary engine,would rev to infinity.A tuned model was clocked at 246mph on the Bonnerville Salt Flats,now that is rapid :dance: :dance: :dance: Loved the car.
