FFS! Sometimes I wonder why the f\/ck I bother trying to sustain the animal kingdom. F\/ckers are doomed if you ask me.

We inherited a fish tank when we bought this place, so cleaned it out and noticed that a cat fish was the only member of the tank...LMFAO...now I know why!

We bought six neon tetra's for about a five squid, now I am down to two...that mother f\/cker, lazy ass cat fish MO FO has eaten them! Yes! :)

So what should I do? Get a Siamese fighting fish to sort him out...or Pirhana's...my mate Lee had Pirhana's and they were bad ass with a capital BAD ASS! LMFAO :)

Well it might have something to do with the fact that when I go out I shut the Rotten Weillers in the kitchen, so one day coz the poor buggers had been shutup in the morning I gave them the run of the house! Big mistake!

Came home and the cheeky monkeys had eaten the catfish food and the tropical fish food. So I couldn't feed phat boy catfish until the next day...so what has he done? Eaten me Tetra's. :) Tw@T! ROFL :)

Tim buy a Dog fish that will sort the cheeky whisker face out:D:D:D

Or a great white! :)

eat the cat fish, teach the fooker a lesson! then fill it with what u want!

We bought the tank. We bought the gravel. And the plants. And the ornamental wood. And the expensive chemicals to make the water "good". We got the water tested and it WAS "good". We chose six fish, bright, colorful little things and the food to feed them with. We introduced them slowly and carefully. They swam and played with the filter and were dutifully bright and colorful.

They all died within one week.

B@stards.

There's a moral there somewhere but I can't be arsed to find it.

;)

Well buying tropical fish is a gamble bud, they are paralysed with cyanide at the reef usually, so the natural habitat get's nuked in the process! Great innit? Not! :(

Bee Gee Vinz, if you weren't so cuddly and Bee Gee looking (judging from your photos) I would come down there to Nottingham and slap you round the boat race with a large hallibut! You see many Neon Tetras at the Thames or down Margate way of an afternoon? :) ;)

Tim,

The catfish is terrotorial, anything that invades the tank he will attack!!!!

For success in fishkeeping, as with most things in life it is about maintaining balance and finding what works with one another :duffer:

Just like guiness and port!

seriously if you don't want the catfish there are a few UK fishkeeping websites advertise him on there for nische!!

Sell the tank or keep it on but they are agro to keep well and be kind to fish, or just stay in a constant cycle of buying fish and putting them into your own personal concentration camp

Cheers Mark, I like Mr. CatFish though, he has grown about 6 neon tetra's length in size since we moved in. LOL :)

F\/ck it, gonna get some Pirhana's...my mate had some (did I mention that?) and some of the stories he told me were ace about feeding time! Gonna call one Macca and the other Roy and watch them have it out over chicken nuggets from Maccy D's. LMFAO :)

The best ones are oscars!!

They will jump out of the tank and grab a worm out of your hand!!

So don't piss in the tank TIMMY

Tut F**kin Tut TurboTitty.Dont you grasp that when they are called "TROPICAL F**KIN FISH" it means their native habitat is tropical countrys."WHERE ITS F**KIN HOT & HUMID ALL THE WHILE "Which dont include SouthEnd on a bank holiday monday

PMSL :)

Yes mate, hence why you may catch the occasional cat fish at Southend-on-Sea but not a Neon Tetra bud! LMFAO :) I believe that Tetra's prefer the Barrier Reef or anywhere nice and hot bud! LOL :)

Exactly bud! ;)

if you want to get rid of the cat fish ive got a large tropical tank. 8' x 5' x'3', but i don't think it will last long with the caiman.

its noy just my catfish then

there all fat lazy basstards that eat everything that they can catch

o and fock ugly aswell

ive had mine for years hes great

survival of the fatest

steve

lets post some pictures of

whos is the fatest ugliest catfish

steve

tropical fish dont live in the sea!

marine fish do and its an arm and a leg to get a tank set up properly

then you buy some druged up 'finding nemos' which swim about for a week then die

topical fish arn't druged up.

they need to send all the nemos to Betty Ford clinic befor they sell them and they go cold turkey in your tank!

My dads got a catfish in his outside pond lol, it's about 16 inches long but i dont think it eats the other fish.

A mate of mine has oscars, they're interesting! He also has 6 coy carp outside in a pond. I went round there one day and one of them had jumped out and looked dead on the patio. I put it back in the pond and it floated upside down. Next day it was fine!
