Our main man Bob from Safe and Sound in Chester is willing to do the fittings at his place for 10 quid a shot. or for free if you get a alarm installed at the same time (what more excuse do you need guys ! )

 

People with Alarm worries,

Bob will install a switch that will effectively kill the ignition feed the alarm and enable you to arm it. If you want to get the full run down or are worried about the specifics give Bob a call tommorow on :

Would have done this earlier if I'd bothered to see how the Turbo Timers actually cost, at the price I really dont see the point in not getting it done asap.

If I missed out on this one - who else would be interested in a group buy (there must eb other new members on here!) to see if we can get the price down a bit ?

And there was me about to say "welcome back Nico" and it's a post he did a year ago, lol.

 

God, maybe I should look at the date 2000!

Thought it was this year, anyone need a Turbo Timer ? Also what's the differences, full auto, dual or multispeed - sounds like my girlfriends birthday present..........

The turbo timer cannot be integrated with an alarm unfortunately Saying that, when you turn the ignition off, do you get out of the car as fast as possible and have it locked in 2 seconds flat? I don't think so!!! It takes a fair while to turn the ignition off, fit the steering lock etc etc etc so by the time you come to set the alarm the thing will have knocked off The highest I've ever had mine up to was 2mins 30secs which was after absolutely killing the car Not long to wait to protect your turbos I think you'll agree

The problem with the Cobra, and I guess many other alarms, is that it sets the immobolizer after about a minute and a half, even if you haven't set the ultrasonics, voltage drop etc.

It can be done with any alarm, but you need a lot of time and a lot of relays. I've love the turbo timer, but the thought of trying to get all that working sounds daunting.

 

Maybe I'll look up the instructions I found a while back... but then you need to get the wiring diagram for your alarm. It was on tt.net if you want to look for it.
