Still have the strange problem with my car smoking from drivers side!

I am not convinced it is the turbo [well talking myself out of it]

Had my car in the garage this eve carrying out a conzult check on the tps.

The car was warm, been back from work......about 10 mins so plugged in conzult and had the car ticking over..................after about 2/3 mins the drivers side exuast started belching out smoke and i meen belching.

Reved car for about 30 secs and dispursed......when revs back to normal the smoke reappeared what the fook

Now i am no machanic [plumber actually  ] so this to me seems may be not tubs related!!!!!!

I have a 2 post ramp at work and will be carrying out a check [which a member told me to do ] to establish if the rear tub seal has gone tomorrow.

Is this prob common or have i got to spend loads! [moving in a few weeks taboot  ]

cheers

Dave

This is exactly what is happening to mine. I have a new PCV kit, but havent got round to having it fitted yet

mine is doing that currently, i had a look and noticed the rocker cover is leaking down onto the turbo, therefore burning off when you use the car.

no oil leaks at all and replaced all pcv hoses less than 100 miles ago

what about the oil feed pipe to tthe turbo

I think that is the exact symptom of turbo seal failure. Doesn't smoke when revving, just after a run at tickover.

To do with the vacuum at tickover helping to suck the oil through the seal.
