Hello guys,

Have any of you seen/or have a Zed with Antera 309 alloys on it? I think it looks very nice but worry about it not fitting the lug pattern on our beauties. Also, anyone know what the propper offset should be for a wheel like this (18" rims)? Any advise is always welcome.

Cheers!

theres a supra wearing these in this months fast car -

Hiya Danny - In the Antera catalogue - it specifies that they do make a fitment for the >1990 300ZX's. 18x8.5" front, 18x10" at the rear.

So hopefully - they should bolt straight on!

Willy - thanks mate!

Will I have problems with the offset? My car (still) has the stock brake discs and callipers so hopefully there shouldn't be a problem.

Also, can you fit 265 tyres on a 10" (i.e., 255mm) rim?

Cheers!

If you want some mega-rubber (and have a bottomless bank account) you could put 285s on 10"!!

285s are double the price of 265's!

The offset *should* be fine...but cannot speak from experience. So....go on bite the bullet.... smile.gif

Sure looks cool, got a full page scan of that page? The others looks good too.

I may be slightly ignorant but don't you run the risk of having the rubber slip off the rim under hard cornering (if you put on a tyre size that is larger than the rim size)?

D.

PS - I'm going with this theory because a straight conversion from inch to millimeter shows that 10" equals 255mm - perhaps I'm just talking crap ...

Danny, you're not allowed to buy new rims biggrin.gif

what about those stock alloys you just bought in Holland ??

getverpielekes !

-Eric

Must admit, I do like them Dan, and they're five spokes like the wheels on my Merc. Funny, we(Az/AndyP/Me) were on about this last week.

Off to see how much...

Clarkey - here you are:

This is a full page scan out of the October issue of EVO (has lovely yellow Lambo Murcielago on it - I WANT THOSE WHEELS ON ME ZED!)

Eric - I know I've just bought those standard rims in Holland (that was to make the car look "standard" rather than handicapped by having two different rim types and colours). And truthfully, I still haven't got the front ones sorted ... Dennis is off to get them in the next week or so. "Getverpielekes" dat heb ik lang niet gehoord! Vind je die Antera's echt lelijk of zeg je maar wat?! (Apologies to the rest of the forum reading this and going "what the feck are they on about?! Don't worry about it, we're not on anything ... despite being Dutch ...)

I'm not planning on getting the Antera's any time soon anyways as my finances are in a dire state at the moment. About time someone offered me a really good paying job ... hahaha - yeah right, when pigs fly!

Can someone still answer my question regarding putting larger tyres on rims than what they're designed to take (i.e., rim=10", tyre=265mm).

Cheers all and thanks for the replies.

Check all the parameters.

You can fit a supra wheel on a 300, but the offsets are different. Get the correct one!

Kerching!!!

That's it, decided now, they are nice wheels and I love them on yours Tony.

Been hunting for alloys now for months, BlitZ are nice but WAAAAYYYYY to expensive. Volk, can't get 'em over here and they'd be as expensive as the BlitZ!!!

So they are the wheels for me.

No probs Tim - just wish I could afford a nice set of 18" ... frown.gif Will have to wait til more affluent times.

Later!

Danny

It ain't just the cost of the wheels - it's the tyres that keep hurtin' !!!!

Now if only a) I could find somewhere that sold Yokohama Super Advan's in the UK, and b) I could afford them in 18x8 and 18x10 smile.gif

Oh not to mention the rubber to go on them...
