I have to change my set of Toyo Proxes T1-s - unfortunately they're all worn down with a big nail in one. They've been on 1 year but with big BHP etc. and some fast road driving they're going and need replacing for the MOT next week.

I have looked at mytyres.co.uk but my local Kwik-fit which I use alot can do me a set of Pirelli P7000 (directionals) for £700 all in. Front 265/30/19, rear 235/35/19. Think it compares well price wise.

Toyos on "mytyres" came out around £650 but then the fitters charge about £50 for the fitting, plus the order can take over a week which I don't have time for.

I think the Toyos may be slightly better than the P7000 but I think I can live with that.

By the way I've got the common problem with the fronts - inner wear. I've done search and is either camber - poss worn springs (but doesn't feel that), or upper link arms - so when I get it serviced within the next week I'll have to get the guy to have a look.

Any one here has used or is using P7000?

Geoff.

Yep, I've always found Pirellis total pants.

Did'nt last very long for me

Well got the Pirelli P7000, directionals, in the end - from National Tyres - Kwik-fit couldn't supply them. Same price £700 all in.

Results - very good much softer drive than the harshness of the Toyos on the 19" wheels, and good grip and feel to the steering.

So when you all said they're rubbish - were you talking about the P7000?

Geoff.

iv had some very good results with Pirelli. not on the zed, & not P7000's

P6000's are a bit cheap & nasty - perhaps thats what everyone is referring to??

used to use PZero on my Golf GTi - awesome tyre on that. same as my old Yokohama in the dry, better in the wet & wore better.

does anyone know what tyres the car was designed on?

who make the pzero range they are crap too! Ive got pneumans on there at the mo the bloke said they are a cast off from dunlop, found them the best they squeel a bit but are lasting

i bought falcons as i had no money, the car slides everywhere when it is wet

PZero crap!

Mate anyone with a £100,000+ car uses PZero (Or the latest version as they dont make them now) cos they are thought of as the best performance road tyre you can buy!

they was on my set of alloys when I bought them! they are crap did'nt last 5 mins an slid all over the place

I bought these pneumans from jet tyres in canvey for two 265/35/18 £218.00 will probs get a discount there soon for being a regular :)

When I change tyres the new ones always seem better than the old ones.

But that may be as the new ones are new and the old ones were old, not due to the brand.

It's especially true on a motorbike too.

tread helps too :p
