speed limiter

hello chaps, Does my uktt need the restrictor taking off or does that apply to the jap spec, also is the chip in need of replacing to upgrade to about 400bhp?

as speaking to johnny he said that I need BOOST CONTROLLER AND AIR/FUEL ADJUSTER.

what is the best set up required??

does the speed limiter only restrict the rev's and keep bhp the same!?

If you get a re-mapped chip it will have no speed limiter and adjust the fueling for higher boost pressures. 15 psi is the usual I think without bigger turbos/injectors. The limiter does not affect revs or bhp it just stops your car from going any faster when you get there,,try it smile.gif

ps. I think its limited to 155 mph on a uk spec

I know its academic as few of us ever see over a hundred if we want to keep our licenses but where does the 155 limit come from? Is it suddenly dangerous to be going 156mph. If a tyre goes you're still spread over 3 counties!

Plus assuming you've got a runway to try it on. How long does it take to get to 155 in a stock Z?

Curious

Hi,

It was a motor industry agreed top speed of 250kph(155mph)to keep the 'Greens' happy in Europe.
